Antalya is a popular tourist destination in Turkey, especially for people attracted to the beach and sun. After all the sun outside, it’s nice to come back to a calm, cool room. Like a sanctuary indeed.
One thing you cannot dismiss about Kauçuk is it’s location that’s so close to the Clock Tower. This means the hotel is also close to the fast and efficient tramway lining Antalya. If you ever get lost, just say Kauçuk and most people will be able to point you the direction!
Each corner of the hotel is tastefully decorated contemporary painting from Turkish artists. Your feet too will be greeted by beautiful Turkish rugs that are handpicked by the owners, giving the place a beautiful ambiance.
I arrived at the hotel at 8am after taking an overnight bus from Izmir. The owners, Rebii and Rengin, were gracious enough to allow me to have an early check in, at about 11am.
The bed was exceptionally cosy, and Rebii explained that she hand picks the linen and mattresses.
Here are a few photos I took from my stay there.
Breakfast is served from 9 onwards. Since I had to do a review on E Bikes Antalya, I woke up bright and early to a delicious platter by the pool. I was even asked how I’d like my eggs done! So personalised.
Each room has a distinct story associated with them and you can get a list of the stories in Kauçuk Hotel’s website here. I’ve had absolutely the best time here. After travelling for 2 weeks straight without much sleep, I felt myself crashing and thankfully, Kauçuk nursed me back to health.
It was a lovely stay.
